Fascinating … stumbled across your technique after reading your book “Where good ideas come from”.

The two ideas you share are interesting to overcome 20 years of building up your own pool of snippets. Scanning pages of your hand-written journal, digitizing text (and images) via simple scan (?) and consulting your notes (together with other sources) with your search queries is something I was thinking of to boost my ideation/research process.
